Hey there every one I hope you are all having a great day and week! Okay, so today I want to talk about you guessed it how to start off on your fertility journey. Now I do have to say that I am not an expert or anything like that and all I can really tell you about is the things that I have learned along the way! That being said I do hope that it helps you guys all get started. Now there are a few steps on how to really get started and I have done posts on that already and I would definitely encourage you to check them out.
I want to start with something that is very crucial though and that is that you and your partner have to be on the same page and you have to communicate with each other on how you feel while still being open to what ever is going to come your way and not being stubborn with how you go about this journey because everyone's journey to parenthood is different. That I guess would be the first step from my point of view sit down and really talk about this with your partner or your support system and talk over all the details. The next step would be to set up an appointment with your doctor and talk to them about what you would like to do as well. Come up with a plan with your doctor that you are happy and comfortable with and do not let them bully you into thinking that you have no choice. It is your body and you are the one that gets to decide how you go along. At least that is what I have learned to do with all the medical stuff that I have gone through in my life. You have to be your own advocate and present a united front with your partner or support system.
Following your medical plan here are a few other steps that you can take as well. You can start with a good healthy diet and work out regiment. I would say find the right way to eat that works with your body and eat the healthiest way you can that supports your body properly. The work out regiment should be the same. For example I work out 3 times a week now and give myself plenty of rest because when you don't rest all you are doing is tearing away at the muscles and that can cause you problems in the long run. I love yoga and full body work outs with my own body weight and Pilates and also being as active as I can be. That is the best way for me to work out and stay fit as well. Along with that step is detoxing your body of any pollutants like: drugs, alcohol, or bad foods. There is also coming off birth control which is something you will discus with your doctor. I suggest also starting prenatal vitamins because they help your body get ready for pregnancy. You should start taking your body basal temperature everyday so that you can start to get to know your cycle and track your period for a while before you start trying because you need to know that to time it right.
Then there is the sex part and this I am going to be honest is one of the harder parts because it can end up feeling like a chore after a while. To counter act that all I can say is don't forget to have fun with your partner if you have one and if you are doing this on your own then don't forget to pamper yourself and remember that you or both of you are sexy and love each other deeply. That is how I have looked at everything and yes it has been a struggle with because of the many medical problems that I have had in the past but it is not something that I will ever regret starting down the road on. I know that this is scary and there is so much noise on what you should be doing and so much "advice" out there. All I can say to that is do what is best for you and your situation. Only you know what is best for you and what is going to work for your life. Well, I hope that you all got something out of reading this and I am grateful that you all always come back, till next time.
